Holiday Ideas
Spend your holiday based at the Posada enjoying the fantastic walking, scenery and history of this underdeveloped area, not to mention our gastronomic delights using local and organic sourced ingredients to provide delicious breakfasts, picnics and evening meals.

Group Walking 2007/2008. The week begins with pick up at Seville airport and one night in the capital of Andalucia to start the holiday, staying in a recently refurbished 2 star hotel selected by us in the heart of the Barrio Santa Cruz (the fascinating IXth C Jewish quarter). Using Angel´s first hand knowledge on his home town you will get a feel of this historic city, birthplace of the tapa. With Angel you will discover the hidden gems of the city and our favourite bars for a glass of wine and tapa on route.

Late afternoon, you will be transferred to Alájar and La Posada where you will be greeted by Lucy and Sofía with chilled cava followed by dinner. The following morning after breakfast (a selection of local and homemade products, not to mention Angel´s collection of extra virgin olive oil) you will be guided around the village to enjoy the charm of centuries of popular and traditional history, ending the walk with a delicious homemade picnic on the picturesque Peńa overlooking the village. The rest of the week consists of various walks setting out from Alajar, taking a homemade picnic lunch, discovering the area along the network of drovers’ paths which connected the villages for centuries. Returning to La Posada for a rest before aperitifs and dinner.

With a free day on Thursday, transport can be arranged to visit Aracena, a bustling market town that boasts “Las grutas de las Maravillas” a real must. Transfer back to Sevilla at the end of the week.
